Ann & Roger Cronkhite celebrate 66 years of marriage on Sept. 1, 2011

Roger and Ann met at the Universalist Church in Fort Plain when they were very young. Teir
parents attended that church. Roger says he remembers Ann sitting in the church pew when she
was about 5 swinging her feet back and forth.
Ann & Roger married on Sept. 1, 1945 in the Universalist Church in Fort Plain. After getting married
they oved in with Rogers parents who owned a far. Roger said it was a two family house and they
lived in one side of it. Roger and Ann took care of both sets of parents until their parents passing.
Ann & Roger have 2 children, Jan Cronkhite and Judy Cronkhite Zetterberg, 5 grandchildren Robin,
Andrew, Heather, Rachel and Timothy and 2 great grandchildren Dorothea and Jacob.
The Cronkhites are very musical. Ann played the pipe organ in the Trinity Lutheran Church at
Palatine Bridge, the Universalist Church and Methodist Church both in Fort Plain. Roger played the
saxophone in the Jim Carnrite Band from Fort Plain and also in the Mohegan Band in Caroga Lake.
Ann & Roger said they have had a wonderful life together and wonderful children and grandchildren.
The Cronkhites are th nicest people that you would ever want to meet. They always have a smile
on their face and are always will to help anyone who needs it.
August & Virginia Looman celebrate 55 years of marriage on Sept. 1, 2011

Virginia and August Looman were married Sept. 1, 1956 at the Methodist Church in Little Falls by
the Rev. Thorn. Virginia is from Curtis, NY and August is from Oppenheim, NY.
Virginia and August met at the Milatex Textile Mill in Dolgeville, NY where they both worked. Mr.
Looman was a volunteer fireman in Oppenheim, NY for a good number of years. Virginia and
August have three children, Robert, Marsha and Tammy. They have five grandchildren, Jason,
Josh, Aaron, Dustin and Kayla and 3 great grandchildren.
The Loomans have not lived at our facility very long, but they are so friendly you think you have
known them forever.
