| Collecting for Flood Victims |
St. Johnsville Rehab & Nursing Center collected numerous boxes of clothing, cleaning
materials, baby wipes, baby formula, jar baby food, diapers, bottled water, personal
hygiene items and over the counter medicines to help the victims of Hurricane Irene in
Schoharie County.
"Several villages and rural communities in the Schoharie Vally have been almost totally
obliterated by the record floods that occurred in the wake of Hurricane Irene and the
situation worsened for many families as the rains continued and more evacuation
orders were issued, " Senator Patricia Ritchie said.
Our resident council made a monetary donation of $500.00 and our facility matched
that amount to help flood victims.
