The St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is pleased to announce our recent receipt of the "SHARP", Safety and Health Recognition Program certification, awarded by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We are immensely proud as we are the only Nursing Home in the Mohawk Valley to hold such a safety distinction. To hold such certification recognizes the St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center as an employer dedicated to the safety of its employees. The qualification process required the facility to submit a rigorous consultation review including a comprehensive audit, identifying and promptly correcting any hazards. Addiitionally the facility's health and safety programs were subject to thorough review. Finally qualification was dependent upon the facility holding a below national average injury rate for the past three years, which we not only met, but exceeded with five consistent years. One can find the "SHARP" banner proudly displayed in the facility's main lobby for all to see that the St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center has achieved the status of the model for worksite health and safety within the healthcare sector.
