| WORLD ALZHEIMER'S DAY Sept 21st was World Alzheimer's Day. In recognition of this, Activities planned a day of related events. Karen Britt, Western Region Program Manager of the Alzheimers Association of Northeastern New York, presented an educational program on Alzheimer's disease. Following this presentation staff and residents took a walk around the block for awareness of this debilitating disease. Participants included Roger Montgomery, Anthony Aversa, Ralph Baker, Robert Stetin, Dorothy Murgatroyd, William Shankland, Nick Rutkowski, Edna Rogers, Norma Jean Szabo and Carmen Marrero. Prior to this day, some of our Alzheimer's residents created 2 paintings that were raffled. The winners of the paintings were Margaret Crouse and Robert Stetin. |
